Chris Parmiter
Chris co-founded PestTrain in 2012. He is a Chartered Biologist and spent nearly a decade working in pest control services before becoming a divisional director at industry supplier Barrettine. That mix of service and technical experience shapes the way he approaches a problem on site.
At PestTrain, Chris works on independent audits, persistent infestations and technical questions where the usual answer has not solved the problem. He looks at the evidence on site, how pests are getting access, what is sustaining the issue and whether the current control plan tackles those causes. The aim is clear advice that a client and their pest control contractor can put into practice.
That way of working runs through his teaching. Chris helps learners connect pest biology and inspection findings to a plan they can explain: what the evidence supports, what the law allows and how to make the decision useful to someone responsible for the site. He has written for BPCA on field mouse control and helped develop its guidance on the subject, where those biological, legal and practical questions come together.
